Twin Islands are located alongside the St. Lawrence Seaway off Thousand Island Park. They are a single bedrock formation with two outcrops breaking through the surface of the water. The larger one accommodates the cottage with lawn, trees, and a boathouse.

Our clients, Ross and Lynn Jones, wished to have us build a footbridge to the smaller island so their grandchildren could camp on the island and fish from its shores.

The design of our bridge employs a reverse curve at each end of equal radius to the central arch. The bridge forms a single svelte line inviting one to approach and cross.

The bridge is structured of two laminated beams supported on stone abutments that are pinned to the bedrock. It has an overall length of 56 feet.
